We offer you a unique experience and great fun by a majestic river trekking day trip to the center of the island. Depending on group size and your experience there are plenty of choices to explore the area.
Our trip starts from Rethimno, making a first stop fourty minutes later at Kourtaliotis river springs! There you will admire a huge waterfall that falls into the canyon and have the chance for a JUMP from a low ledge! This is also our starting point where by following the river’s shore we will explore the amazing hidden forest of the gorge.

– Once we arrive above the gorge we will provide you with neoprene suits as the river’s water is a bit cold – But perfect for the summer days! Helmets and hiking poles also provided. After a short briefing about the route that we follow, we immediately start the adventure!
– The first part includes an amazing view of the great waterfall! The flow never stops and the amount of water coming down from the mountains is simply amazing! A small and safe jump will cool you up as the place is perfect for some instagramik pictures! We continue down the river by splashing into natural pools and having fun next to the river’s shore. The plane trees around us create the perfect scenery – A place away from crowds – You will love it.
– Around 15.00pm we will reach an olive grove where is our exit point. Back to our cars once you change your wet clothes we will drive back the same way.Optional stopover for lunch or a cold beer nearby!
Μην Ξεχάσετε
For the trek you will need only your swimming shorts or Bikini. Hard sole sneakers or old boots preferred with long socks. Although you will hold with you dry clothes to change , second shoes or flip flops , underwear and a small towel. All your staff will be stored inside a waterproof backpack.
